Teddy Tim on the move....

Teddy Tim left the school playground, through the gates and out on to the street where best friends were waiting for him.
Tim had been held back by his teacher, miss Matterson, who, noticing that Tim seemed a little upset, had asked him what the matter was.
"Nothing at all" said Tim, "Well, actually we're waiting to find out whether or not my daddy is going to get promoted".

"Well that's great news" said miss Matterson, "Why would that make you sad" ?

"Well, daddy says that if he is promoted, he will be working in Paris".
"Oh I see" said miss Matterson, starting to realise the dilema Teddy Tim was in "So you wont get to see much of him, will he be travelling to and fro every week" ?

"Nooooooo" ! said Tim "no, no, no, no, you don't understand, we would all need to leave London, the whole family will move to Paris......in France" !

"Oh, now I understand, you do not want to leave your friends and family and start again over there" ?, "Well yes" said Tim, I can't think of anything worse than not having Doggy Dave, Leo and Lola to play with".

"Listen its getting late, you better get off, as you said, it is not sure yet, wait and see what your daddy says tonight".

All this was swirling around in Tim's head as he approached his three friends in front of the school, he hadn't managed to tell them yet, he was so dissappointed himself, he didn't want to make them sad too.
Putting a smile and a brave face on it, he ran towards them and changed his thoughts to happy ones, the summer holidays there were maybe about to spend together and the fun they would would have, even if it was just being at the park day after day, they always found great games to play.

Leo and Lola were bother and sister, Leo, a fair haired, intelligent little boy of 7 years of age. His older sister Lola had a forceful caracter, lond fair hair and huge blue eyes, and often tried to lead the gang, although Teddy Tim's great ideas and red hair made him the ideal leader.
Doggy Dave was, surpisingly not a dog, but did have extremely long 8 year old ears, therefore in a moment for hilarious giggles one day, Teddy Tim had christened, Dave, "DOOGY".

The four friends skipped, ran and walked all the way home, they all lived within 500 yards of each other, and often managed to kick an empty can or any such 'ball replacement' from school all the way home'.
When Leo and Lola asked Teddy Tim and Doggy Dave if they wanted to come to play in their garden, Teddy Tim sighed but reluctantly declined the offer, as by this time, all he wanted to do was to know whether or not he would need to move to France !!!
